The Sharpeville Massacre was an important part of the South African Apartheid history. It took place in Sharpeville in front of a police station. It was a protest for equal rights between blacks and whites. The protest had about seven thousand turn outs to protest. The police office decided to disperse them by shooting into the crowd. After all the chaos had ended many families were crying because a loved one was killed. in total sixty nine people were killed and one hundred eighty people were injured. The Sharpeville Massacre was one of the most infamous events in Apartheid history.
